Reset or change your password

If you forget your password, you can request to reset your password. If you’re already logged into your Pinterest account, you can change your password from your settings.

Tips for setting up a strong password:

• Use a unique password that is hard to guess
• Use a combination of numbers and symbols
• Use a password that you’ll be using only for your Pinterest account
• Keep your password secret. We’ll never ask for your password by email, instant message or phone

Note: Once you reset or change your password, you’ll need to re-log into Pinterest on all of your devices, including when you log in with Facebook, Google, or Apple.

Reset your password

If your password reset link is not working in your regular browser, try resetting it in a private Chrome, Firefox or Safari window. To open a private window, click File at the top of your screen, then click New Incognito Window for Chrome or New Private Window for Firefox and Safari.

1. Go to the password reset page(opens in a new window)
2. Enter your email, name, or username to find your account, then click Search
3. Click This is me next to your account to send a password reset link to your email inbox
4. Check the email address connected to your account for a password reset email
5. From the email, click Reset password and enter your new password
6. Click Change Password

Note: To keep your account safe, we do not allow you to use any recently used passwords.

Change your password

1. Log into your Pinterest account(opens in a new window)
2. Click the directional chevron down icon  in the top-right of your screen, then click Settings
3. Click Account settings from the left-side navigation
4. Click Change your password
5. Enter your old password followed by your new password
   • If you cannot remember your old password, click Forgot it? and check the email associated with your Pinterest account to reset your password
6. Click Change Password
7. Click Done
